We love family!

We are one step closer to Jhay! Just landed in Abu Dhabi! In Holland all our friends and family are fast asleep. We are wide awake!

Taco's brother and family picked us up at our house. His brother spontaneously did some dishes for us. "You have to leave a clean house." Sweet! Our sister-in-law made a quilt for Jhay. Man, looks complicated to make. Must've taken a couple of years! 

When we got to the airport, all the other family members were there. Drank coffee and then one family member quietly handed me some freshly baked cookies, just for me. Another brought a present for Esmée, making sure she doesn't feel left out. Best thing was, they were all there, cause they care. Feeling the love! So sweet! We love family!! ❤

Our Dutch airport has had a major makeover, man. Once we got past the gate, it was as if we were all VIP's. Nicely furnished everywhere, even the toilets were all pretty. This is what they've been working on all this time. Cool!

All of a sudden, it was time to board. Good thing we didn't have to sit next to the drunk guys we met while waiting to check in. Etihad is pretty awesome. Great attention for kids: kid's meal and cute backpack, a cute care package for all of us with earphones, socks and a toothbrush. Not all airlines do that anymore nowadays. Good leg space, nice screen and yes, I watched a good movie. Can't remember the name, but it was about two kids with cancer. I cried, but luckily it was dark...

This airport is beautiful! See picture. And so many different people. Always fun to watch. Time to wait again. It's ok. We're so used to waiting... haha....
